UMGAI, KWAZULU-NATAL – The countdown has begun for the Annual Umgai Sports Tournament, set to take place on Saturday, 1 August 2026. Organised by the Mgai Area Foundation, this year's highly anticipated event is proudly sponsored by the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Sport and Score Energy Drink.

The tournament has become a flagship annual event, bringing together young athletes, community members, and sports enthusiasts from across the region. More than just a competition, it serves as a platform for promoting youth empowerment, healthy lifestyles, and social cohesion through sport.

With the continued support of the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Sport and Score Energy Drink, the 2026 edition is expected to be one of the biggest yet, offering local talent an opportunity to showcase their skills while encouraging participation in positive recreational activities.

Organisers say the tournament reflects the Mgai Area Foundation's commitment to developing future leaders by using sport as a vehicle for education, discipline, teamwork, and community development.
